About the Event
For thousands of years, women have been brainwashed to doubt ourselves, not listen to our intuition and to prioritize everyone else’s well being over our own.
Have you thought about where does this come from and why? Why do we all as women feel this way?
There was a time when humans lived in community, and women were celebrated for their intuition, life-giving body magic, and wisdom. We were the medicine keepers, the healers, and led alongside our men. We were revered as healers and having a direct connection with Spirit. When we bled, we would gather in a Moon Lodge to meditate and receive wisdom from the Great Mother Spirit with the other women in the village who were bleeding.
With the rise of cities and centralized government, tyrannical leaders felt threatened by the outspoken, brave, rebellious women who lead a sacred life. From the 13th-17th century, powerful, magical women in Europe were brutally tortured and murdered for their power. This time is known at the Burning Times or Witch Hunts, and historians are now estimating that over 9 million women were murdered. Not just for being magical, but anyone who thought for themselves and didn’t follow the rules, that wanted to follow the Earth Medicine.
There is a huge ancestral trauma living amongst women. From the burning times, to colonization and the build of patriarchal societies that took away traditions of connecting and honoring the Earth and the Sun and the Rain and their rituals. Magic was deemed evil, sensuality was dangerous and dirty, the Goddess was rejected from religious and spiritual texts and women had to shut down their power to survive. The Sacred Feminine was erased.
So here’s the important thing to note: our current patterns and expectations of looking perfect, over-giving, and constantly apologizing and feeling guilty for doing what we want or doing things for ourselves, these are the results of a thousand years of brainwashing — this is not our natural state!!
I know that we are here to do more than keep obsessing about our weight or what our clothes look like. We are here to shake the status quo and lead with an open heart. We are here to nurture and initiate. We are here to do what we want and be who we are.
We’ve been spending so much time fighting for equality by ACTING like MEN, when real freedom comes from FULLY EMBODYING what it means to be a WOMAN.
It is time to heal the ancestral trauma that has lived within every single woman no matter where they are from and to reignite what it means to be a fully embodied woman!
Join us for this Ancestral Healing Night on a very potent time in the year, close to the full moon and Halloween, when the veils are thin to connect with our ancestors and create rituals to heal this collective ancestral trauma.
